Be A Peacemaker
At St. Andrew’s we have been praying for the various conflicts that have engulfed the planet. In particular we have focused our prayer on the situation in Iraq, where Christians and other minority groups have been persecuted. The world has responded through humanitarian aid and a limited military response.
We continue to keep these and other conflicts in our prayers. Praying for a peaceful resolution that is grounded in God’s justice and mercy. Presbyterian World Service & Development (PWS&D) is inviting all people to be Peacemakers. They have pledged $50,000 in humanitarian aid towards conflict in Iraq, Syria, South Sudan and Gaza. All are encouraged to give as they are able towards this cause. More information is available on the PWS&D Be A Peacemaker site. If you would like to contribute to this cause please mark your envelopes for PWS&D or you may donate directly on the PWS&D website.
